Interim Fire Station 3 Grand Opening
The Forney Fire Department is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a hose uncoupling and new fire apparatus wash down/push-in ceremony on Saturday, July 1st, to commemorate the opening of its interim facility located at 12491 Windy Ln. The ceremony will commence at 9 a.m., and we extend a warm invitation to the public to join us in this significant event.

June 26, 2023 Forney ISD Board considered 2023/24 Budget and Tax Rate
On June 10th, 2023, to start the Founders’ Day event, the city held a site dedication for Reeves Henry. There will be a new historical marker placed at the site in the future.
May 22, 2023 Forney City Council considered action regarding the City Attorney.
At the end of the May 16 meeting, Trustee Barbara Jo Green announced her desire to resign, citing health and family reasons. The board accepted her resignation.
She then suggested Mr. Idemudia as a replacement - the board reviewed his resume, then approved appointing Dr. Michael Idemudia for the remainder of her term.
