Mr. Morgan said only have a 3-member quorum, and one member can't vote due to owning nearby property, so this item will have to be rescheduled.   Public notices will have to be resent.
    • Approved a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness, in accordance with the Historic Overlay Zone District Regulations, for exterior changes (new signs and paint front facade) to the property at 114 E. Main Street.
Mr. Morgan explained the changes: paint on front facade, main wall sign, and a request for a blade sign, which is required to have 8 ft clearance.   No responses received from public notices.   Staff has no issue with sign material or size.   This request is in compliance.   Paint color: staff has no objection to the colors.   Ms. Blair asked about the colors- applicant said it doesn't look quite as shown in packet, uses historic colors.   Mr. Cunningham asked if the blade sign would be lettered on both sides: yes.   Applicant Amy Bass said there is already a rod there, they thought would be nice to use it.   Ms. Blair said, having been in retail, she would have been a little bolder; Amy said it is bolder than the picture shows.

  • Adjourned at about 1812.
